About the Artist
Born in 1990, Jimmy Walton is an Oil Painter and Graphic
Designer, raised in central Indiana. He received his B.A. at
Franklin College and his M.B.A with a specialization in marketing
at Ashford University. During his undergrad, he studied biology
and chemistry, until he found that his true passion was in painting
and design. He has participated in solo and group exhibitions in Indiana.
I have two different styles of painting: representational and
non-representational. With each style, there is a creative process
that is trial and error. While I am painting, I will discover changes
to make my work better. When I am starting my next piece of work,
the journey is like a path through the woods. My vision is on one end
of the path and an empty canvas on the other. My first trip from
start to finish is on a winding road, full of peril and adventure.
The next move is sharper, cleaner, faster, and to the point. But,
I’ve left signs of my trials and tribulations, little breadcrumbs and
upturned stones along my way. Through these, you see my humanity,
my evolution, and my creation. What I give you is my own individual
take on reality. But my works are not all-encompassing visions of my
being; they are also moments and feelings of what I have been.
